At March On Foundation, we are driven by the potential of every community organizer to create meaningful social impact. Our mission has always been to make organizing easier.
We started in 2017 as a sister to the Women’s March in Washington, D.C. Since then, we’ve facilitated critical social impact work, developing capacity within consulting, storytelling, and fiscal sponsorship. We marched for Racial Justice in Annapolis, at the March for Science, and at the Rally for Healthcare. We marched at the Vigil for the Capitol, the Annapolis Women’s March, and at the Black Lives Matter Protest. We supported March On the Polls, a nationwide effort to (literally and metaphorically) march people to the polls to get out the vote.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our fiscal sponsorship magnified the impact of community organizers. With our support, Dine11 raised over $680k to deliver 88,000 meals to frontline medical workers, Plated LA supported BIPOC restaurant owners, and the COCO Fund provided +$87k in support to 175 grantees in the hospitality industry. We have accomplished a lot in our history to date but, more importantly, we have helped others to accomplish a lot. We are continually inspired by what is possible when ordinary people are equipped with the structure and support to achieve their extraordinary goals.
Now we are working hard to expand our capacity and to provide Model C Fiscal Sponsorship. We are putting out the call to community organizers; if you’re passionate about the change you want to make but aren’t ready to become an independent nonprofit, we can help. We know firsthand how difficult it is to develop the knowledge and capacity to navigate administrative, legal, and compliance hurdles when you’re just trying to make a difference. We are committed to meeting you where you are and removing barriers that divert your focus from what matters most: driving positive community change.
Once you are approved as a sponsee, we can begin to take logistical concerns off your plate right away. To ensure that you are best positioned to deliver on your mission, you can begin to receive donations and benefit from our servicing capabilities, including:

- Contractor Support (1099)
- Expense Card
- Organizational Development
Our current administration fee is 8%.
In addition to navigating logistical elements, we know it can be difficult to tell your story. We believe that the ability to convey your project’s vision and goals effectively and emotively is a catalyst for success. It’s not just about telling a story; it’s about igniting passion, garnering support, and securing crucial resources to turn your vision into a reality. We are expanding our offering by building a network of storytelling professionals to help ensure that your passion translates into a meaningful connection with donors and stakeholders.
